A leader in Transformational Cloud Computing seeks the expertise of a highly technical Senior Azure Engineer to join its team. Your role will entail implementing and monitoring an Azure infrastructure and security solutions, driving public and hybrid cloud-based, proof-of-concept prototypes and building public and hybrid cloud-based, optimised reference applications, show-casing event-driven, elastically scalable, fault tolerance, and other cloud architecture patterns. Your tech toolset should include: Microsoft Hyper-V, Azure, VMware vSphere and Active Directory.
Conceptualize, design, and deliver product / sustenance delivery through the team as per defined scope and standards in a particular technology.
Review the architecture and design deliverables and support.
Ensure knowledge up-gradation and work with new technologies so that the solution is current and meets quality standards and the client requirements.
Gather specifications and deliver solutions to the client organisation based on a domain or technology.
Recommend client value creation initiatives and implement industry best practices.
Train and develop the team so as to ensure that there is an adequate supply of trained manpower in the said technology and deliver risks are mitigated.
Design and develop a solution for product / project and sustenance delivery.
Effectively present public and hybrid cloud-based architectural design concepts and solutions to all levels in the organisation.
Drive decision making. Identify alternatives, pros, and cons, and make recommendations.
Anticipate when an architectural change will be needed and prepare the organisation for a successful transition.
Build public and hybrid cloud-based, optimised reference applications, show-casing event-driven, elastically scalable, fault tolerance, and other cloud architecture patterns.
Drive public and hybrid cloud-based, proof-of-concept prototypes that assess the feasibility of solutions and demonstrate to clients how technology can be leveraged.
Identify, analyse, and resolve the most complex public and hybrid cloud-based issues.
Manage multiple initiatives independently.
Communicate architectural solutions to managed services team leaders and other critical stakeholders throughout the architecture planning and design process.
Implement and monitor an Azure infrastructure.
Implement management and security solutions.
Implement solutions for apps.
Implement and manage data platforms.

Some VM-related administrative tasks include:
Deploying VMs into virtual networks.
Configuring VM for optimum cost, performance, and security.
Backing up VMs and potentially providing failover recovery.
Securing data against unauthorized access.
Backing up data and making it efficient to restore when needed.
Configuring long-term archival storage to maintain corporate compliance.
Deploying and configuring virtual networks.
Orchestrating routing paths, especially in a hybrid cloud.
Managing public and private IP addresses for your VMs and selected other Azure resources.
Encrypting data in transit, at rest, and in use.
Protecting Azure Active Directory accounts against compromise.
Reducing the attack surface of all your Azure resources.
